Apart from the information available on the site, Cagora also sells a number of products.  When you enrol as a free member, you automatically become an affiliate of Cagora.  In this way, if you refer people to the site they are tagged to you for life.  If they subsequently buy a product from the Cagora site, then you will get a commission, usually 20% of the value of the sale.  So there are financial benefits to being a member of Cagora as well as the community benefits you can obtain by joining and contributing to the various worlds.
